Mission Statement:

I have had the pleasure of working with children, adolescents and their families within various settings for the past 20 years, 11 of those years in clinical practice.  Children amaze me with their energy, optimism, resilience and hope for the future.  Parents and caregivers amaze me with their patience, persistance and love for the young ones they have the privilege to raise.  I enjoy using creatiive modalities to reach kids and help them express themselves, begin the journey of self-discovery and recognize that they have the ability to reach their fullest potential despite whatever life challenges come their way.  I have a unique approach to therapy in that I employ play therapy and elements of art therapy, music therapy and other creative means with a Cognitive-Behavioral emphasis.  I also utilize Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and other strategies as well.  Assisting parents in learning effective strategies to set much-needed limits and maintain them consistently, is also a passion of mine.  123 Magic is one of my favorite methods to teach as parents tend to find great success with this method.  My goal is to reduce the stigma of mental illness by empowering kids, parents and caregivers with knowledge as well as the tools they need to be successful and achieve a greater sense of harmony in their lives together.
